I’ve recently received my AWS Cloud Practitioner certification and it was a very slow process for me, there are a lot of resources out there and two years ago when I found out about the exam I wanted so bad that I decided to consume every single piece of cloud computing I could get my hands on. That made me extremely overwhelmed and made me take a break from Cloud Computing.
My one and only 2023 resolution were to organize myself and focus on a plan that would work for me and as few resources as possible. And it did! it took me a month but I did it!
What is the AWS Cloud Practitioner exam?
The AWS Cloud Practitioner exam is an entry-level certification exam offered by AWS and it is designed for individuals who have a basic understanding of the AWS cloud and its services and want to demonstrate their knowledge to employers, colleagues, and clients.
The AWS Cloud Practitioner exam covers four key domains:
- Cloud Concepts – This domain covers the basic concepts and terminology of cloud computing, such as the different deployment models, cloud service models, and cloud characteristics.
- Security and Compliance – This domain covers the fundamentals of cloud security and compliance, including the AWS Shared Responsibility Model, AWS security best practices, and AWS compliance programs.
- Technology – This domain covers the core AWS services and their use cases, including computing, storage, database, networking, and management services.
- Billing and Pricing – This domain covers the basics of AWS billing and pricing, including pricing models, account structures, and cost management tools.
The exam consists of 65 multiple-choice and multiple-response questions and must be completed within 90 minutes. To pass the exam, you must score at least 700 out of 1000 points.
The AWS Cloud Practitioner certification is a great way to demonstrate your foundational knowledge of AWS and cloud computing and can be a valuable asset for anyone who is looking to start a career in cloud computing or work with AWS.
